Audio Technology.
- Audiocassettes are now becoming less popular in the classrooms while CDs and DVDs are becoming more popular in the classrooms. Teachers can still use audiocassettes in the classroom with creating small groups to teach something, because they come with headphones. Audiocassettes can also be used for the whole class with recordings that were made back then, that cannot be found in the form of CDs. CDs and DVDs can be used in the classroom for read-alongs in the textbooks, giving the students the feeling of how the characters actually are. CDs can also be uploaded online, giving the teachers a chance to give the students homework if a teacher only has a class set of a certain book.
Video Technology.
- Overhead projectors are becoming less popular in the classrooms while the document camera is emerging. Overhead projectors can be used the classrooms to display worksheet transparencies, such as pictures. The document camera can be used to display real time images and 3D objects. They can also be used to show class notes and make it easier for students to see since document cameras a zoom feature. With document cameras, teacher wouldn't have to worry about making transparent copies of worksheets.

Chapter 6
I would prefer to teach in a classroom that had more digital technologies for many reasons. My major is early childhood education and I believe that children are less likely to participate in class because they are afraid of being wrong. If my classroom had more digital technology such as the electronic whiteboard, children will want to participate more because they can go up to the board and answer a problem. With electronic whiteboards, I believe students will be more motivated if a project is assigned because it is like a scanner, whatever is on the computer screen shows up on the board. Students can also interact with each other while learning such as playing a math game on the computer. I believe with technology like this, students will look forward to going to school each day. There will always be something different to do every day.

All About Char. (:
Hey! I'm Charlaine Tenorio and I'm a freshman at Bowling Green State University. I am an early childhood education major. I have a 1 year old daughter and a wonderful fiancée. On my free time, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family and going shopping. I also love to dance and I love art and photography. I work as an overnighter at Hollister Co. when I'm home for breaks and sometimes on the weekends.
